I write a DIY column for the fabulous wedding magazine Confetti.

Here is some inspiration for you to feast your eyes on. These are relevantly cheap projects to DIY and Up-cycle but they do not lack in punch and impact. You can easily bring some fun and personality into your wedding decor.

These projects can be changed up to suit your colour palette for your wedding and also I still have these items at home around the house and have used the items for parties, so you can use them well after the wedding which I love!

Donut Wall

First up is the Donut Wall, so much fun to make. Picked up a few old frames in a charity shop, some MDF board and painted them. You can use these afterwards to hang jewellery or even suitable for birthday parties and occasions.

Love Light

Next Up is the LOVE light. Really easy to make and can cost a real fortune even to hire. I have this in my guest bedroom. It is actually really easy and quick to make as-well and seen some great takes on this from people giving it a go.

DIY Ombre wedding chairs

Chairs are the easiest thing to find in thrift/charity shops. These two were €5 each. for the Full Tutorial head over to Confetti CLICK HERE

Again these chairs can be used in the home, in a spare room, or in a little nook with a plant on it.

The colours used in this tutorial are from my colour collection

I hope you find these ideas inspiring and if you do them with plenty of time before your wedding it wouldn’t be stressful and you will really enjoy the process.
